Prison Officers Being Encouraged to Take Industrial Action

This week, Queensland Prison Officers are being encouraged to take industrial action in pursuit of the latest failed negotiations by the Together Union and the Queensland State Labor Government.

Last week the Together Union touted that they held a number of "secret ballots" throughout Queensland to decide on industrial action.

We were actually in Townsville on the day the so called "secret ballot" took place and was ultimately voted down.

This week will bring some interesting union concepts into the spot light for closer examination by many people from many groups, not least of all will be the Prison Officers of Queensland who are increasingly more frustrated with the failures of the Together Union in terms of delivering on promises and more precisely, delivering on the services members have paid for, when and where they are required.

If you have a story to share about your experiences with this union or any other, email us confidentially or give us a call.
